The Heil PR 35 is a microphone that means business. Designed for applications that require a smooth, flat response, the PR 35 is a perfect fit for producers, sound engineers, musicians and broadcasters alike.
The PR 35 starts with a tapered, rubberized matte-black finish microphone body, with three different colored accent rings (black, silver, and purple) to "gussy it up" the way you like it, and then it just keeps getting better. The PR 35 is
an extremely comfortable mic to hold and it is just as appropriate for rock musicians as it is for talk show hosts. Pros like this mic for its great looks and feel, but also love it for its sound integrity and versatility. It comes with a
black acoustical wind screen in a padded leatherette carrying case.
The PR 35 has been compared to high end condenser mics. The reality is condensers have less ability to resist feedback and tend to pick up everything, which is rarely (if ever), the goal.

The PR 35 uses a 1.5" low mass diaphragm element (that's big), supported by a neodymium, boron, iron composite magnet (that's strong), with shock mounting for the diaphragm (that's good). The PR 35 also has the humbucking coil to prevent
noise associated with video monitors or other sources (That's even better). Expect excellent results with the PR 35 in any situation, with very low handling noise, sans feedback, and with real depth.
The Heil PR 35 goes a step further allowing you to squeeze the best out of even the harshest acoustical environments by including a built-in roll-off switch, cleverly mounted within the mic stem. No need to worry about accidentally engaging
it. With a paper-clip or small screwdriver, you set the down position to roll off at 80 Hz, (-6 dB per octave). You can choose to run flat with the switch pushed to the up position, yielding the entire frequency response. The lowest of low-
end situations may not be enough to coax the PR 35 into runaway low end feedback, but it's nice to have options when some venues won't play fair, acoustically speaking, that is. Can you hear me now?
